Variation Types
Overview
A variation type is a product attribute such as Size, Type, or No. of Pcs — each with a set of values (Small, Large, and so on). You build a type here by giving it a title and attaching its values. In the app this page is Variant Options.
The values you attach must already exist. Create them first on the Variation Values page — only then do they appear in the Option Values list here.
Requirements
- Permission to view variations
- Permission to create variations
- The values you want to attach, already created in Variation Values
Steps
Open Variation Types
Open Variations Types from the sidebar. The list shows each option’s Code, Title, its Option Values, and its Status.
Add a variant option
Select Add Variant Option in the top-right.
Fill in the details
In the Add Variant Option form:
- Language (required) — the language you’re entering the title in (English or Arabic).
- Option Code (optional) — a code for the type.
- Option Title (optional) — the attribute name, e.g. Size.
- Option Values (optional) — the values this type includes (see next step).
Select the values
Open Option Values and pick the values this type should include — for example Big, Bigger, Small for a Size type. Only values already created in Variation Values appear in this list.
Save
Click Save to create the variation type. It appears in the list with its values.
Notes
Don’t see a value you need in the Option Values list? Add it on the Variation Values page first, then come back and attach it here.
Troubleshooting
If you cannot see or create variation types, confirm you have permission to view and create variations.
