Roles & Permissions

Overview

Roles bundle permissions that you assign to users. Instead of granting access one capability at a time, you build a role once — choosing exactly what it can view, add, edit, and delete — then apply it to many users from the Users page. In the app this page is Authority & Roles.

Steps

Open Authority & Roles

Open Settings → Authority and Roles from the sidebar. The list shows each role’s Code, Title, its Permissions count, how many Users have it, and its Status.

Add a role

Select Add Role in the top-right.

Fill in the details

In the Add Role form:

Language (required) — the language you’re entering the title in (English or Arabic).
Role Code (optional) — a code for the role.
Role Title (required) — a clear, descriptive name, e.g. “Manager”.

Below that is the Permissions section, grouped by area — Products, Brands, Locations, Users, Categories, Taxes, and so on.

Choose the permissions it grants

Click a group to expand it and pick individual permissions — for example, under Products you can turn on View Products but leave Add Products off, so the role can see products without creating them.

Ticking the group’s own checkbox (e.g. Products) selects all the permissions inside it at once — View, Add, Edit, and Delete.

Save the role

Click Save. The role appears in the list, ready to assign.

Assign the role to users

Assign the role to people on the Users page — it’s the Inframodern Role you pick when adding or editing a user.

Notes

Turning on a group’s checkbox is a shortcut for selecting every permission under it. To grant read-only access to an area, expand it and choose only the View permission.

Troubleshooting

A role that is still assigned to users can’t be deleted. Reassign those users to another role first.
