Roles & Permissions
Overview
Roles bundle permissions that you assign to users. Instead of granting access one capability at a time, you build a role once and apply it to many users.
Requirements
- Permission to view roles & permissions
Steps
Open Roles & Permissions
Go to Roles & Permissions from the navigation.
Add a role
Select Add role to start a new role.
Name the role
Give the role a clear, descriptive name.
Select the permissions it grants
Choose which permissions the role includes.
Save the role
Save your changes to make the role available.
Assign the role to users
Assign the role to people on the Users page.
Notes
Roles are scoped to the workspace. The same person can hold different roles in different workspaces.
Troubleshooting
A role that is still assigned to users cannot be deleted. Reassign those users to another role first.
