Working with lists
Overview
Most pages in the POS Admin open on a list — order types, menus, discounts, devices, and so on. Every list works the same way: you can search it, filter it, sort it, act on one row from its ⋯ menu, or select several rows and act on them together. This page uses Order types as the example.
Requirements
- Permission to view the list you’re working with. Editing, disabling, or deleting also needs permission for that action.
Steps
Search and filter
Type in the search box at the top left to find a row by its name or code. Click Filters to narrow the list. Each list offers the filters that make sense for it — for example Status, Tag, and Usage on Order types, or date, location, order type, channel, status, amount, cashier, and more on Orders. The add button at the top right (here Add New Type) creates a new record.
Sort
Click a column header that has a small arrow next to it to sort by that column. Click it again to reverse the order.
Edit, disable, or delete one row
Click ⋯ at the end of a row to see what you can do with it. Most lists offer:
- Edit — change the record’s details.
- Disable / Enable — hide the record from the POS without deleting it, or bring it back. A disabled record keeps its history.
- Delete — remove it for good. You’re asked to confirm first.
Some lists add their own actions, such as Duplicate on Menus, Unpair on Devices, or Reset POS password on Users. Others offer fewer — for example, you can only disable a tax here, and customers are edited in Inframodern.
Act on several rows at once
Tick the checkbox at the start of each row you want, or the one in the header to select every row on the page. A bar appears above the list showing how many rows are selected and what you can do with them — for example Set active, Set inactive, or Delete.
Move between pages
The bottom of the list shows how many rows there are. Use the arrows or page numbers to move through long lists.
Notes
Disabling is usually safer than deleting: a disabled record disappears from the POS but stays in your reports and order history, and you can enable it again at any time.
Troubleshooting
Don’t see ⋯, a checkbox, or an action you expect? Your role may not include permission for it — ask an admin to check your role in Roles & permissions. If a search finds nothing, clear any filters you set earlier.
