Signing In
Overview
You sign in to the Eatabill POS app with your email and POS password. Each member of staff has their own POS user, so every order and payment is linked to the person who took it.
There are two ways in:
- Saved users — if you’ve signed in on this device before, your user appears in the saved users list and you just pick it and enter your password.
- First time — if you’re not in that list yet, sign in with your email. You use the first POS password that was generated for you, then set your own password.
Requirements
- A paired device (MainPOS or SubPOS) that has finished its first sync
- A POS user created for you in POS Admin → Users
- Your first POS password — auto-generated and shown in POS Admin → Users, in the POS Password column
Steps
Sign in the first time, by email
If your user isn’t in the saved users list, choose to sign in with your email and type it in.
Enter your first POS password
Enter the first POS password generated for you. Find it in POS Admin → Users, in the POS Password column for your user.
The first POS password is generated by the system. An administrator can read it for you from the POS Password column on the Users page. You’ll replace it in the next step.
Set your own password
Because it’s your first sign-in, the app asks you to Set New Password. Enter a new password (at least 8 digits).
Confirm your password
Re-enter the same password to confirm it, then you’re taken to the Home screen.
Next time, pick your saved user
Once you’ve signed in on this device, your user appears in the Saved Users list. Tap it and enter your password — no need to type your email again.
Notes
Keep your password private. Anything you do in the app — orders, payments and discounts — is recorded against your user.
Saved users only appear after signing in on this device at least once. On a new or re-paired device, sign in with your email the first time.
Troubleshooting
Your user isn’t in the saved users list? You haven’t signed in on this device yet — sign in with your email instead.
Forgot your password, or the first password doesn’t work? Ask an administrator to check or reset it in POS Admin → Users. You’ll set a new password the next time you sign in.
