Overview
The Security settings page has one thing on it, under Login Password: a Change Passcode button, for changing your own POS password on this device.
Requirements
- Logged in on the device
- Your current password
Steps
Open Security settings
Open Settings → Security. Under Login Password, tap Change Passcode.
Enter your current password
The Change Password dialog opens and asks you to Enter Current Passcode. Type it on the numpad.
Enter your new password
It switches to Enter New Passcode. Type your new password.
Confirm your new password
It asks you to Re-Enter New Passcode. Type the same new password again to confirm. Once it matches, your password is changed.
Notes
Keep your password private. Everything you do in the app is recorded against your user.
Troubleshooting
Don’t know your current password? An administrator can look up or reset it in POS Admin → Users, under the POS Password column.
