Average Order Times
Overview
Average Order Times let you configure target preparation times for specific order types and locations. These targets drive the timers and color alerts shown on the KDS so the kitchen can stay on pace this time is the priority the average preparation time are the second priority otherwise it will fallback to 5 minutes.
Requirements
- Permission to view average order times
- Permission to add and edit or delete average order times
Steps
Open Average Order Times
Go to Average Order Times in KDS Admin.
Add a target time
Click Add Average Order Time button and set a target preparation time for an order type and location.
Save
Click Save to apply the target so the KDS uses it for timers and alerts.
Notes
These targets drive the timers and alerts on the KDS App — when an order exceeds its target, the screen flags it so the kitchen can react.
If a target time is not set it will fallback to average preparation time for products inside the order otherwise it will use 5 minutes.
Troubleshooting
If a timer is not what you expect, confirm a target time exists for that order type and the location that the KDS app paired with and that it has been saved.
