Open Cash Drawer
Overview
Open Cash Drawer pops the cash drawer open from the till, without printing a receipt or starting an order. The drawer isn’t connected to the device directly — it’s wired to a receipt printer by a LAN/Ethernet cable, and the printer triggers it. Once the printer is added in Printers by its IP address, the drawer works — there’s no separate drawer setup or configuration.
Requirements
- A cash drawer wired to a printer with a LAN/Ethernet cable
- That printer added on this device by its IP address (see Printers)
Steps
Connect the drawer to the printer
Wire the cash drawer to the printer using a LAN/Ethernet cable.
Add the printer by IP
In Printers, add the printer using its IP address. That’s it — no extra drawer configuration is needed.
Open the More list
Tap the hamburger icon (≡) in the top bar.
The More List opens with Reports, Open Cash Drawer, and Settings.
Open the drawer
Tap Open Cash Drawer. The drawer wired to your configured printer pops open right away.

Notes
The cash drawer opens through the printer it’s wired to — there’s no separate drawer setup. If the printer is added by its IP address and reachable, the drawer works.
Troubleshooting
Drawer doesn’t open? Confirm the printer is added in Printers by its IP address and is reachable, and that the drawer’s LAN/Ethernet cable is connected to that printer.
