SubCashier
Overview
The SubCashier settings page lists the SubPOS devices assigned to this location in POS Admin. You can’t add a SubPOS from this page — a SubPOS device is requested from the Devices page and assigned to a location there. Once assigned, it shows up here on the MainPOS; until then, this page shows No Connected Devices.
This settings tab only appears on a MainPOS. A SubPOS device doesn’t show SubCashier settings at all — only the MainPOS can configure SubPOS devices.
Requirements
- A MainPOS device (not a SubPOS)
- A SubPOS device requested and accepted in POS Admin → Devices
- That device assigned to this location — see Locations
- The SubPOS’s local IP address
Steps
Open SubCashier settings
Open Settings → SubCashier on the MainPOS device to see the Sub Cashier table — name, IP address, whether it’s paired, and its connection status.
If no SubPOS is assigned to this location yet, the page shows No Connected Devices instead.
Open a device’s options
Click the three dots at the end of the row to see Sub POS Screen Options: Edit Data and Connect.
Set the device’s IP address
Tap Edit Data. The Edit Sub Cashier dialog shows the Device Name and IP Address — type the SubPOS’s local IP address and tap Save.
Notes
A SubPOS connects to the MainPOS over the local network. Both devices must be on the same network to stay connected.
Troubleshooting
A SubPOS you expect isn’t listed here? Confirm it was requested and accepted in Devices and assigned to this location.
A device shows Disconnected? Check that its IP address is correct in Edit Data, and that it’s on and reachable on the local network, then use Connect.
