Users

Overview

Users are the staff who use the POS Admin and the POS App. Users are synced from Inframodern — when you add a user there, they are automatically synced to Eatabill and any other application you’ve subscribed to. Each user is assigned a role that controls what they can access. You add and manage users here.

Eatabill users let you manage access and assign roles to the users who can access the application. You can manage their roles and their access to specific locations.

Requirements

  • Permission to manage users
  • Users invited to your workspace
  • Roles created

Steps

Open Users

Open Users from the POS Admin sidebar.

  • You can use the search bar and filter button to filter users by location or status.
  • The POS Password column shows each user’s first, system-generated POS password. Staff use it to sign in to the POS App the first time, then set their own password. See Signing In.

Add a user

Click the Add New User button. It takes you to Inframodern, since users are created there and synced across your applications and workspace.

Click Add New User.

Clicking the Add New User button takes you to the Inframodern platform to add new users, since users are created in Inframodern and synced to all applications. Go to Inframodern Users to continue creating or editing user access.

Assign a role

Assign a role to control the user’s permissions.

Click the three-dots icon

You can find the three-dots icon at the end of the row.

It opens a pop-up with two options: Edit, and Disable or Enable (depending on the current status).

  • Click Edit to open the edit-user modal.

  • Click the Edit button below.

Edit user roles and access

After clicking Edit, the roles and access section becomes editable, and you can select and type.

Roles and locations in this modal are select-only, so you can’t add a new role or location here. You must create roles and locations first, then select them here.

Save

Click Save. The user receives access.

Save the new user.

Expand user row

You can expand the user row in the users table to see the user’s assigned locations and role.

  • Click the expand-row icon.

Notes

A user’s permissions come from their assigned role. To change what a user can do, update their role or assign a different one.

Roles and locations in the edit modal are select-only, so you can’t add a new role or location there. You must create roles and locations first, then select them here.

Troubleshooting

Can’t find a user? Make sure you invited this user to your workspace through Inframodern Users.

Invited a user to your workspace but can’t find them here? Make sure this user has access to this brand and application.

If a user cannot sign in, confirm that they accepted your workspace invitation and set their password and profile.
